ANRESIS is led by the Institute for Infectious Diseases (IFIK) of the University of Bern and is supported by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). Microbiology laboratories and hospitals are invited to participate on a voluntary basis. The advisory board lends advisory support to the ANRESIS-Team. External groups have the possibility to submit research proposals which are then evaluated by the scientific board.
